Privacy notice

How KejaYetu handles personal data.

This notice explains the information KejaYetu receives when you use the marketplace, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Information we may collect

Why we use it

We use submitted information to provide accounts, publish and moderate listings, connect house seekers with agents or movers, calculate planning estimates, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the reliability of the marketplace.

Public information

Some listing and mover information is intentionally public so customers can contact the advertiser. Do not upload private documents, ID numbers, bank details or information you do not want displayed publicly.

AI and service providers

KejaYetu may use service providers for hosting, email delivery and AI features. Only information reasonably needed for the requested feature should be sent to those providers. AI outputs and mover-cost estimates are planning aids and may be inaccurate.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the service, safety, dispute handling and legal obligations. We use access controls, hashed passwords, short-lived admin codes and other technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on applicable Kenyan data-protection law, you may ask to access, correct, object to processing of, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. Use the Contact page and identify the account or listing concerned.

Children

KejaYetu accounts and property advertising are intended for adults. Do not submit a child’s personal information unless you have lawful authority and it is genuinely necessary.

Changes

We may update this notice as the service develops. Material changes should be reflected on this page.
